Hometown Star Tylyn Griffin Dominates in Racine

Hometown standout Tylyn Griffin reminded everyone why he sits atop Wisconsin’s middle school state rankings with a commanding performance in Racine. Griffin scored in double figures in every game, displaying a mix of smooth skill, athleticism, and composure well beyond his years.

Competing against 6th and 7th grade talent, Griffin made it look effortless — but what truly turned heads was his ability to hold his own against Class of 2030 competition. His combination of size, strength, and basketball IQ allowed him to share the spotlight with top names like Max Villanueva and Amare Ozier (Team Herro Jr EYBL).

In the three-point competition, Griffin’s confidence translated into results — knocking down 10 of 15 from deep in the final round. His shot-making touch, paired with his ability to attack the rim and control the pace, makes him one of the most complete young guards in the state.

This Class of 2032 prospect continues to raise his stock and will be a major headline at the TYBC Top 50 Invitational this March.
IS TERRENCE PETERSON JR THE NUMBER 1 IN THE 2032 CLASS??
— When Terrence Peterson Jr walked into the Bray Center in Racine, everyone in the gym knew what was about to happen. By the end of the day he may have been named “MR TYBC” for the 2032 class
Peterson put on a show from start to finish, proving that his handle, pace, and scoring instincts are on another level for his age group. The young guard controlled the tempo, attacked off the dribble with confidence, and hit big shots —showing the type of poise you’d expect from a veteran, not a 2032 prospect.
Teaming up with Tylyn Griffin, Peterson led his squad to a championship win over a talented group that included Ari Brown, Jordan Franklin, and Kashiif Evans. What separated Peterson wasn’t just his scoring numbers—it was how he took over games when his team needed it most.
Even more impressive? Peterson played up two grade levels against 8th-grade competition and still found ways to score efficiently. His confidence never wavered, and his ability to create space and finish through contact turned heads from coaches, parents, and scouts in attendance.
With his blend of skill, composure, and competitiveness, Terrence Peterson Jr has officially put the TYBC STAFF on notice. Don’t be surprised to see his name sitting at the top when the updated Wisconsin Class of 2032 Rankings drop on March 30th—this kid is here to stay.
